This year, WHOOP gave you more ways to understand your body, build better habits, and celebrate progress that’s uniquely yours. From smarter training tools, to clearer insights, we made it easier to turn your everyday effort into meaningful results.

More ways to understand your body

WHOOP introduced powerful tools to help you better understand your body and optimize your health. From tracking body composition and pregnancy insights, to improving strength training and monitoring heart rate zones, these updates provide more ways to measure progress and achieve your goals.

Body Composition and Weight: going beyond the scale

Whether your goal is to build strength, lose weight, or improve your overall health, WHOOP shows you what’s changing—and why it matters. Track your body composition and weight to get direct insights into muscle mass and body fat changes. You can track your body composition changes with a WITHINGS scale, the preferred partner for the most seamless integration, or connect with a different smart scale by connecting it via Apple Health or Health Connect.  

Heart Rate Zones: a smarter way to train 

Heart Rate Zones got an upgrade. By factoring in your max and resting heart rates, Heart Rate Zones now use the Heart Rate Reserve method for more personalized insights. Use them to tailor your training, track workout intensity in real-time, and understand how your body responds. Adjust your zones anytime in Settings. View your heart rate zone during an activity by tapping Start Activity or after by checking a completed Strain activity on your Home screen.

Steps: your daily movement, made measurable

Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that make the biggest difference. WHOOP makes it easier to celebrate movement, even on days when you’re not chasing big workouts with Steps. Getting enough movement every day — regardless of your fitness level — has been shown to reduce the risk of diseases like obesity, depression, and heart disease while improving overall health. Set personal movement goals, and track your progress over time. 

Pregnancy Insights: from conception to postpartum

From conception to postpartum, WHOOP gives you deeper visibility into your evolving health during pregnancy. See how your metrics like RHR and HRV shift week-by-week and understand your trends in context with others on the same journey just by adding your pregnancy week # to the Home screen when you tap “Customize.” 

WHOOP conducted revolutionary research that can help indicate preterm delivery, and is helping expectant members understand their baselines throughout each trimester.  Pregnancy Insights helps you track weekly changes through pregnancy and postpartum, showing how your RHR and HRV evolve based on your personalized baseline. See the trends to insights of members with similar due dates to better understand your journey with others.

Strength Trainer: make every workout count

Strength Trainer – which quantifies the muscular load of your workouts by tracking weights, reps, and sets – is now easier to use — and smarter than ever, so you’ll never have to guess if your strength sessions are paying off. Here’s what’s new:

Customize your exercises: Create a custom exercise in Strength Trainer if the catalog of over 200 exercises doesn’t have what you need. Choose a similar exercise to help Strength Trainer quantify your muscular load.

Gym first. Log later: Can’t plan your Strength Trainer workout in advance? Not a problem. Finish your training session, and after you’re done, log your entire workout to see the true impact of your training. 

Find Strength Trainer when you tap the action button  (+) on the Home screen of your app.

Weekly Plan: better habits, bigger results

Weekly Plan gives you structure and accountability—two things that make behavior change easier, and more rewarding. We’ve made Weekly Plan even easier to use with more intuitive options for adding your activities and behaviors. 

Now, you can focus on improving key metrics, like boosting your Sleep Consistency by up to 5%. Plus, use 3 new plans that have guidance grounded in science and realistic to achieve: Sleep Deeper, Boost Fitness, and Feel Better. 

Same-Day Journaling: Journal whenever you want

You can now log behaviors to your Journal as you do them or at the end of the day. Plus, next day journaling is still possible. The more frequently you log, the more you know about how your habits impact your health.

New Daily Behavior Insights: log more, learn more

Track over 140+ habits and behaviors in the Journal, from diet to mental health, to see their impact on your Recovery Score. Daily “Insights” in the Plan tab help you experiment and discover which choices—from parenting to psychedelics—most affect your health.

Journal and Insights Connected: Easily access Insights within the Journal through a new convenient button. It’s even easier than ever to see what impacts you the most.
