Podcast 183: 2x CrossFit Games Champion Annie Thorisdottir
This week on the WHOOP podcast, our guest Annie Thorisdottir shares more about her rise in the sport of CrossFit, and how her approach to competition has changed since becoming a mother.
This week on the podcast, we sit down with Annie Thorisdottir, 2x CrossFit Games champion. Annie won the CrossFit Games in 2011 and 2012, becoming the first woman to win back-to-back CrossFit Games titles in the history of the sport. In 2021, she placed third at the Games only a year after giving birth to her daughter Freyja, and after experiencing postpartum depression. She shares how motherhood has reinvigorated her and challenged her, how she's trained leading up into the games, and what motivates her to continue pursuing the sport as a seasoned veteran.
